Puppy
Fees and Contract
SHIPPING
One of the most frequently asked questions is "What
do we charge for shipping?" Our shipping fee is
$275 unless it is arranged as part of one of our training
packages. I believe that "shipping" a puppy
is one of the safest, fastest ways to get a little one
transported from us to you. We do everything that we
can do to make the trip as stress free for the puppies
as we can. We live 2-1/2 hours from the Dallas/Fort
Worth Airport and I encourage early |
 |
| departure
timesfor the puppies out of Dallas. I take the puppies
to Dallas the night before their flight and spend the
night in a hotel with them. I feel more comfortable
knowing that the puppies have had a good meal the night
before, good night sleep and they are ready for their
plane ride. I do not like to have them do a long care
ride and then have to get on the plane. Our puppies
are sent in a "Pet Porter" that is airport
approved, 2 baby blankets, chewy and a toy. Each puppies
is sent with enough food for a meal in case of a lay-over
in transit as well as a frozen water bottle to ensure
they will have fresh, cold water to drink during the
duration of their flight. I take care of all the flight
arrangements, all I need from you is your closest airport
and the rest of the details fall into place. |
Puppy
Adoption Contract
Edwards
Training agrees to sell all puppies with full breeding rights
included unless stated otherwise by Mark and Becky Edwards.
Edwards Training gives a three day general health guarantee.
Seller warrants that the described puppy is in good health
at the time Buyer assumes ownership. At the expense of Buyer,
Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian
within 3 days of receipt of puppy. If, as a result of the
examination, the veterinarian determines that the puppy
is not in good health, then the Buyer may return the puppy
to the Seller for a full refund of the puppy purchase price,
not including shipping, return costs or veterinary bills.
Hypoglycemia, intestinal worms, hernia, uneven bite and
coccidia are not covered under this guarantee. Written verification
by the veterinarian of any disease found must be presented
to the Seller prior to return of the puppy. After 3 days
from purchase the buyer assumes full responsibility for
the puppy's health and development. (Note: Contract is void
if Buyer does not complete all the necessary puppy hood
vaccinations (minimum of 3), deworming and give heartworm
medication as directed by your veterinarian)
The seller guarantees the puppy is free of life threatening
"genetic defects" up to 12 months of age. Warranty
expires when the puppy turns 12 months old. Hereditary and
genetic defects are determined by the examination and confirmation
of two veterinarians. All costs of the veterinary examination
and any other charges will be absorbed by the buyer. Cyrptorchidism
is not covered under this congenital health guarantee IF
sold as a Pet ONLY.
If said puppy developers a life threating genetic condition
within 12 months from date of birth, Edwards Training upon
receiving documentation of the the vet reports, will provide
Buyer with one of the following options:
Buyer may return the puppy to Seller and receive a replacement
puppy of like quality (but not the same breeding) from the
next available litter. Costs and related expenses of returning
the puppy to Seller shall be Buyer's sole obligation.
OR
Buyer may keep the puppy (provide proof of spay or neuter)
and receive one-quarter (1/4) of its stated purchase price
(excluding shipping or veterinary bills).
Buyer agrees that he/she is not acting as an agent in the
purchase of this puppy and that the puppy will reside at
the home of the Buyer. The puppy will have access to a fenced
yard, will not be chained or tethered and will be provided
with proper housing, diet, exercise and veterinary care.
The buyer agrees to provide necessary vaccinations and adequate
health care including proper dental care, heartworm medication,
etc for the life of this puppy. Yearly check-ups and booster
vaccinations are required and should be brought up-to-date
on the health record provided at the time of purchase. Buyer
also agrees to keep the puppy in a safe environment and
not allow this puppy to run at large under any circumstances.
Failure to do so will void the warranty.
If, for any reason, buyer is unable to keep this puppy,
Seller shall be given the first right of refusal. At the
sole expense of buyer, the puppy shall be returned to Edwards
Training.
