Mark
and Becky Edwards are Edwards Training!
We
are currently Under Construction.
| Mark's
interest in training Labrador Retrievers started
while he was living in Minnesota where he met his
mentor Roger Reopelle. Roger was a legendary figure
in the Field Trial World. Mr. Reopelle had a tremendous
impact on Mark and assisted him in training FC/AFC
St. Croix Peli-Can MH, a finalist in the 1996 National
Field Trial. After
three years with Mr. Reopelle, Mark migrated to
Colorado where he lived for a year, and met his
great friend and training buddy Kenny Trott. Opportunity
took Mark to Huntsville, TX where he worked for
Danny Farmer at Vinwood Kennels,as assistant |
AFC
Windigos Kalamity Kate (R), owned by Marv &
Pat Baumer, earned her FC title by winning the
Open at the Metro Alliance Retriever Club Nov
2-4th. Hawkeye's Duke (L) owned by Jim Ashton
won the qualifying at Metro Alliance. Take Me
Now or Lose Me Forever (C) owned by Jim Schmidt
won the derby also at Metro Alliance. All three
dogs are trained and handled by Mark Edwards. |
trainer for three years. Mark
was then hired by Scott and Alice Carruth at Pin
Oaks Kennel to assist in their training program
for four years. In 2004 Mark was blessed with
the opportunity to purchase property in Bonham,
TX where he has developed his own training program.
With out the support of his mentors, he would
not have the success that he has today.

Becky
was introduced to working cowdogs in 1991.
She worked during her high school and college
years for dairy farmers in Colorado. While
running sorting alleys at the local Livestock
Sale Barn, Becky was able to train her personal
dogs on a daily basis. Her years of involvement
with the Everett Land and Cattle Company,
a cow/calf operation, ended in 1994.It was
then that Becky |
| purchased
the largest Boarding/Training facility on
the front range of Northern Colorado. For
10 years she dedicated her time and energy
to her clients' dogs, as well as developing
her personal stockdog breeding program. Being
introduced to the "Trial World"
by Mr. Roger Culbreath in 1996, she was hooked.
Many wonderful people like Roy Cox, Keith
Gilleon, Aaron Hayes, James Clark and Jim
Buzzard have mentored her, helping her be
the |

stockdog
handler and trainer she is today. Moving to Texas
in 2004, has allowed Becky to focus more on her
family and her desire to have a strong, ethical
stockdog program.
Her
love for dogs is not just Border Collies. Becky
also raises AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis, AKC Australian
Cattle Dogs and her personal favorite, small AKC
Italian Greyhounds.
Becky's
credentials include:
- 1997-2003
